Suicide Is Really Wanting To Live - Alienation

April 8, 2018

We may reach a point in our lives where holding up this false image that everything is okay becomes too exhausting. We may have tried all techniques, methods, escapes and ideas to get rid of the pain we feel inside but to no avail. Putting on a fake smile to hide what is truly felt deeper down. Longing to be free of this but reaching a point where giving up seems like the only choice. A wanting to just end everything and never return. To not be of this world and amongst people. The amount of suffering in the world and the powerlessness people feel. A belief that there is something really wrong with us or that we did not belong here. Like Buzz Lightyear landing on Andy's bed.

Yet, underneath all this pain is a deep longing and urge to want to live. We tell ourselves that we are not like them but really we long to belong and be a part of the world. To want to go out and experience what the world has to offer. Does one really need to end it all or does one really desire to grow/mature psychologically? To become the person that they truly are without the false image they present to the world. A dying really of the immature, the child part. A new way of handling life. A higher intelligence that wants to be born into this world. Trying to break us to crack through. To emerge in re-birth. Suicide, such a tragedy if acted upon. Such a miss-understanding. Where are the psychologically mature elders to guide us through the roller-coaster ride? We just want to get to the other side and truly live life to the full.
