Getting Rid of Uncomfortable Feelings

It's not possible! That is why there is no magic pill or cure, and why quick fixes do not work. There are feelings within our bodies that we do not like and immediately we seek to move away from the feelings to find a way to get rid of it outside ourselves. Logically, it makes perfect sense to move away from a feeling and to search outside of us for a solution.


What happens if we turn towards the uncomfortable feeling instead? What happens if we invite the feeling to be as it is without trying to change or get rid of it? That feeling wants to be desperately felt, so why not let it be? Just like how a room allows all the items and objects to be as they are within. The room itself has no issues with who or what is there, it just remains open. There is no need to fight or change the way we feel in our current experience. Letting the feeling be and do its dance, you may notice some space around the feeling, maybe other areas of the body feel light and free. The feeling itself is not solid and fixed, but changes and moves. Let the feeling be as it is and see what happens if you rest openly and relax into it.
