There you have it, no matter what skin colour, what race, what religion, how much money you make, your gender and age, the type of clothes you wear, your opinions and beliefs, interests, job title... Could go on and on here... Before all of that, at the deepest level, we all share the common experience of being aware. Just pause and notice that you are aware right now reading this. Well, that experience of being aware is shared with every other human being on this planet right now!
Being aware is always happening whether we know it or not; awareness is taking place without any effort. You can't turn it off no matter what you do. Even if you were going to put a bullet in your head, awareness still remains and something else will grow out of that awareness. Without awareness nothing would be here. Yet, awareness asks nothing of us.
It is hardly ever acknowledged or spoken about, how could it be really? Something too obvious and simple, a natural state we have grown to somehow overlook. If people recognised this in themselves we would no longer have violence, wars, corruption, abuse, fraud etc. Why would anyone do anything like that to another person they know as being themselves?
You could have all the money in the world and all the knowledge, but you can never have awareness exclusively as it's not personal. It does not belong to an individual but is our shared experience, and this recognition of who we really are at the deepest level naturally brings feelings of peace, love, joy...
